Sunrise SUP yin yoga & sunset SUP meditation
Yin Yoga on a paddleboard combines slow, long-held yoga poses with the unstable surface of a Stand Up Paddleboarding. Instead of doing yin yoga on a mat, you practice on a floating board, anchored on calm water or sheltered bay.
The experience is very different from studio yoga: It is slower and more meditative; It adds an extra balance challenge, as well as a grounding atmosphere.
SUP meditation (Stand-Up Paddleboard meditation) is a peaceful practice that brings mindfulness to the water, allowing individuals to meditate while gently floating on a paddleboard. It combines the soothing effects of water with focused breathing and mental stillness. The subtle movement of the board encourages deeper awareness of the body and breath, helping practitioners stay present and centered. Surrounded by nature, with the sound of water and open sky, SUP meditation offers a powerful sense of calm, clarity, and connection to the environment


SUP YIN YOGA AT SUNRISE
The session begins with a gentle paddle out across calm water towards a nearby beach, serving as a natural warm-up as the body gradually awakens with each stroke. The rhythmic motion of paddling builds heat in the muscles, engages the core, and helps shift the mind away from distractions into a more focused, present state. Upon reaching the quiet shoreline, the boards are anchored and the pace slows down for a grounding yin yoga practice, where long, supported poses allow the body to open deeply and release tension. As the sun, breeze, and sounds of nature surround you, the experience becomes increasingly restorative. The session then transitions into relaxation, lying comfortably on the board, where the stillness of the water and the gentle movement beneath you create a serene environment for turning inward, calming the mind, and fully absorbing the peaceful energy of the moment.
SUP SUNSET MEDITATION
Meditation on a paddleboard is the practice of sitting, lying, or gently moving on a floating Stand Up Paddleboarding board while focusing on breath, awareness, or stillness.
Instead of meditating indoors, you meditate surrounded by open water, subtle movement, natural sound, and fresh air. The board becomes a floating platform that encourages presence because your body constantly makes tiny balancing adjustments.
The experience is often described as:
“Being suspended between sky and water.”



PRACTICALITIES
The morning session starts at 6.45am and the sunset session starts at 5,30pm, paddling out to a secluded beach (about 15 minutes). Yin yoga poses followed by relaxation are practiced in the morning, while meditation is practiced at sunset, before paddling back to the yoga centre.
The sessions lasts 90 minutes or slightly longer depending on sea conditions.
All equipment is provided.
